Ethos of Cheer Mail
There are two things I adore doing. Crafting and helping people see themselves as valuable.
I have been crafting since before I can remember, and my mother encouraged this even when it meant helping me draft skirt patterns in a tiny lounge around sofas, dealing with multiple never finished projects, and video calls as she walked around her local craft scrap store as I shopped through the phone to have things posted up to me in Scotland.
Despite her support, I grew up with very little self esteem, and developed both depression and very severe social anxiety. The latter I still struggle with, but I have gradually learned to love myself, be proud of myself and unapologetically myself.
This is something that has literally both saved and changed my life, and I am passionate about helping others reach this point for themselves.
Things, gifts, toys and novelties are not going to directly help you, or your friends or family see their value. However, you sending something to a friend demonstrates to them that they have value to you, and you buying yourself one helps re-inforce that you are worthy of kindness , fun, and love. That helps build, small steps, are still steps and you never know how much that step inspires.
